Lindersvold is home to five social education institutions: One care home for children and youth who cannot live with their parents, one care home for young adults with special needs, a school with specialised programmes for children who would otherwise not attend school, a vocational skills project for youth with few education opportunities and DRH Lindersvold which is a Travelling Folk High School. Lindersvold is a lively international campus set in beautiful surroundings close to the beach and a World Heritage sites – the chalk cliffs of Møn.

The campus also boasts a beautiful manor building, park and permaculture garden. A yearly Planet Protection Conference is hosted at the campus.

Social Education Assistant at the Care Home

The care home caters for young people aged 14 – 18 who need a safe base in their lives since they for some reason cannot live with their families. Some of them have diagnosed special needs and many have suffered from neglect, abuse and disastrous school experiences. The care home caters for young people aged 14 – 18 who need a safe base in their lives since they for some reason cannot live with their families. As a Social Education Assistant you will work alongside experienced staff who will help you plan your tasks and supervise you throughout the training period. 

A Social Education Assistant works with may practical care tasks like preparing meals together with the youngsters, participating in sports activities with them, being a “professional friend” or “best buddy” or accompanying the youngsters on shopping trips and other outings. 
Depending on your skills and interests – and the needs of the care home – you will participate in daily life at the care home and be responsible for certain activities.

Teacher Assistant at the Vocational Education Centre

The Vocational Education Centre provides individual programmes for young adults who have been granted a “Special Youth Education” (STU) which is a provision that local education services give to young adults who are not able participate in ordinary secondary education programmes. The Vocational Education Centre provides individual programmes for young adults who have been granted a “Special Youth Education” (STU) which is a provision that local education services give to young adults who are not able participate in ordinary secondary education programmes. 
The programmes are tailor-made to each student’s needs, and often they are carried out in small groups, or even in a one-to-one setting. This means that there is a need for many caring teachers and teacher’s assistants since the students need support and encouragement throughout their school day.

As a Teacher Assistant, you will work alongside experienced staff who will help you plan your tasks and supervise you throughout the training period. 
A Teacher Assistant works with may practical tasks together with one or two students. This can be gardening, cooking or simple mechanics or maintenance. The students also receive courses in Life Skills and how to function in a work place. They go on outings and learn about Danish society by patriating in local events and study visits. 
Depending on your skills and interests – and the needs of the care home – you will participate in the daily running of the Vocational Education Centre and be responsible for certain activities.
